A unique design, this necklace from Milton & Humble features a central pear-shaped coloured diamond - considered "Fancy Light Yellow"- at its centre. It is set in a yellow gold rub-over setting, highlighting the colour of the stone beautifully. The central diamond is further enhanced with a surround of smaller diamonds that are set in platinum and is connected via 4 diamonds to a bail set with even more diamonds for a truly spectacular finish. Combining a fancy coloured stone with 'white' diamonds gives this piece of jewellery a wonderful character. The pendant is hallmarked 18ct gold and platinum. Please note, while the pendant is second hand the 18ct yellow gold chain is new. Approximate total diamond weight 1.29ct. The main pear-shaped diamond has an estimated weight of 0.66ct and has been graded SI1 to SI2 in clarity and 'Fancy Light Yellow' in colour. The smaller diamonds have approximately a combined weight of 0.63ct and are H-I in colour and I1-I2 in clarity. The colour and clarity of the diamonds fall into the following groups: Fancy Light Yellow - Yellow diamonds belong to the special family of natural fancy colour diamonds. Part of the yellow diamond grades, Fancy Light Yellow diamonds are yellow diamonds with a body colour that is clearly beyond the D-Z colourless diamond colour scale range but at the lower end of the yellow diamond scale range. Diamonds graded as Fancy Light Yellow are classified as having the fourth-strongest yellow colour on the scale and are exceptionally rare. Colour H-I fall under the group: Near Colourless G-J - More common than D-F colour diamonds, the G-J diamonds provide a great value. Similar to D-F diamonds, these diamonds are best highlighted in white gold or platinum as the white colour of the metal enhances the colourlessness of the stone. Slightly Included (SI1 and SI2) - Inclusions are visible under 10x magnification only but not to the naked eye. Included (I1, I2, and I3)- Inclusions are apparent and can affect transparency and brilliance.
