Inspired by a beautiful locket found in an antiques market and the romance and sentiment of the Victorian jewellery. Hearts were a common theme in Victorian jewellery. Often the gem stones spelt out a name or held special meaning. This trio of stones we have used here (Iolite/pearl/crystal) were inspired by the very common combination of Sapphire, Diamond and Pearl used in the Victorian mourning jewellery. The stones meaning: Diamond – ever lasting love, Pearl – symbol of tears/departed loved one and Sapphire – Guard against evil/protect.
