As vibrant as flowers themselves, this 22ct gold plated brooch makes a stunning addition to any outfit. Taking the shape of a flower basket with jewel coloured Swarovski crystals, it is signed A&S for Attwood and Sawyer and secured with a safety-catch pin closure for peace of mind. This piece is thought to have been made circa the 1980s. The Attwood and Sawyer company was founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales by Mr Horace Attwood and Mr Sawyer. Many of the designs now treasured by collectors of vintage jewellery were inspired by historical references, including their most recognisable collection inspired by the jewellery collection of the Duchess of Windsor. Their high-quality approach to bold costume jewellery is now very sought after. The brand had a very strong presence across the UK and Europe, and went on to produce the jewellery for the television series Dallas. The brand was acquired by Buckley Jewellery Ltd. in 2001. Please note, this is a limited production piece of vintage jewellery. Avoid contact with liquids and other beauty products. Please note that vintage jewellery was produced prior to the introduction of the 2002 law prohibiting the use of nickel or nickel compounds. Customers allergic to these metals may experience skin rashes or irritation where the metal is in contact with the skin.
