Mizuno Wave Rider 20 Running Shoes AirMesh Upper The upper is made from a superbly breathable AirMesh which allows cool air to flow into the shoe at the same time as letting warm air leave, keeping the inside of the shoe and the foot as cool, dry and comfortable as possible. A DynamotionFit system has been used in the shoe construction which offers a secure and supportive fit around the foot and helps the foot to move safely and effectively through the natural gait cycle. A removable in-sock has been added inside the shoe to offer extra underfoot cushioning and comfort. SmoothRide Midsole The SmoothRide feature is an engineered approach which helps to create the smoothest ride possible by minimizing the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, for a comfortable and effective wear. A midsole compound known as U4IC has been used in the midsoles construction which is an extremely lightweight and durable material which offers a high level of comfort to the foot as well as being superbly long-lasting. The Mizuno Specific Wave Plate has been added to the shoe which is made from a sustainable compound known as Pebax Rnew which is a superbly durable material that offers the shoe amazing shock absorbing properties. X10 Outsole An X10 Carbon rubber has been chosen to construct the outsole because of its traction and durability. x10 allows for a longer wear thanks to it being placed in high impact areas of the outsole and provides superb traction at the heel strike. An Intercool feature has been added along the outsole to help solve the problem of heat and humidity build-up in the shoe. This is done by adding a full-length ventilation system to the sole to effectively allow warm air to leave the sole at the same time as allowing cool air to flow in.
