Our Merton tote bag is an enduring and practical classic - here it is given a fresh twist by designer Richard Quinn, in a new collaboration with Liberty London. Liberty London's Merton tote bag gets the Richard Quinn treatment, reimagined here through the designer's mischievous, inventive lens. This classic shopper is designed with our Dahlia Hydra split floral print - Dahlia is an archival print dating from 1969, while Hydra is a denser reworking of a '70s original. The tote is finished off with the word 'Liberty' spelled out in cursive script on the face, in looping satin stitch. The metallic-detailed handles offer a subtle reference to the bags in Quinn's Spring/Summer 2018 catwalk show, while the roomy interior is perfect for stashing everything from work tech and creative projects to spare shoes and unfinished novels. Complete the look with the matching Dahlia Hydra Travel Card Holder, or layer up your handles with a Carline Iphis Silk Scarf or Collage Silk Scarf scarf from the collection. Richard Quinn brings his signature sense of rebellious fun to this new collaboration with Liberty London. Even since before his debut catwalk show (held within our hallowed timber halls in 2017), the designer has played with a subversive, ultra-modern take on classic Liberty prints. Quinn's use of contrast and juxtaposition is brought to the fore in the new collection, offering blown-up ditsy prints and florals with an injection of the designer's acidically experimental style.
