- Made from a range of veg tanned leather from around the world. 4 leathers to suit everyone
- OBT Brown leather made from the best full grain oak bark tanned bridle leather from our local traditional tannery in Devon. Rich brown colour, supple, durable and with a strong smell of leather! Full grain means that the surface of the skin has not been buffed. This leaves all the imperfections that were naturally on the cows skin; scars, blemishes etc. As a result the hides that we cut your Key Leathers from are full of character and no two are the same. When comparing our full grain oak bark hides with modern factory produced leather the analogy that comes to mind would be supermarket carrots versus carrots from your own veg patch!
- This is the very same leather we use for our Oak Bark Leather Belt. The hides come from our local tannery in East Devon where they still use the time honoured technique of transforming Devon cowhides to leather just using the bark from oak trees in the Lake District. (No chemicals!) A process that takes almost 2 years
- Surface variations and irregular dyeing are typical of this unique leather
