In order to maintain the effectiveness of the lacquer and prevent discolouration its best to display your frame away from direct sunlight and heat. (Do not display under spotlights or on a radiator cover for example.) Avoid abrasive polishes; a regular wipe with a soft cloth is enough to maintain its shine, however, marks from general handling and sprays like polish or room freshener should be removed promptly with a soft damp cloth.
