The cutter features four graduated holes for stripping leaves from stemmed herbs. To do this, simply insert the stem of rosemary, thyme and other herbs, pull them through and their leaves are collected on the other side of the board. This means they are then ready to be chopped or minced with the half-moon cutter by rocking it back and forth. Leafy herbs like parsley or basil can be placed directly on the board for swift chopping or mincing.
