Brass Tooth, 2009, by David Shrigley. Edition of 80, signed and numbered by the artist. Brass Tooth is macabre, comical and dysfunctiona: by hugely exaggerating the size of the common molar, Shrigley plays on our fear of the dentist’s chair, but confounds us by making it in solid, heavy brass. His work has been purchased by international collections including Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh, the Art Institute of Chicago and Tate, London.
