Haha we've had this discussion so many times me and my friends. We've also classified all our guy friends into who would be our Ranger and who would be our Morelli. I'd love to see a movie or show of it, that would be great. Personally I find Morelli sexier, even though tons of people find Ranger the hot one. I'd go someone like Vin Diesel for Morelli, and Ranger? Hrmm... I'm really torn on this one. Who do you think?

It's really hard to find a pony tail sexy on a guy but I always thought someone like Collin Pharrel bulked up would look good with one. He would have to loose the accent of course and he would have to get a good tan;)

I don't know if I can see Vin as Morelli I picture him like most Italians, dark hair I am not sure if Vin would look good with hair. I kind of like Youquin Phoenix with a six pack. He can get that tough guy mysterious expressions on his face. Man Janet Evanovich did not make this easy!;))lol

I was also thinking Colin Farrell, and yes, definitely bulked up he could be good. You're right about the ponytail thing! Hrmm maybe... I dunno I have to think more!!

Morelli I'm the same as you - have always pictured him like most Italians but the thing with Vin is that he has that incredible brawny/alpha male thing going on that is incredibly sexy even though he's an a-hole at times (i.e. Fast and the Furious).

They did actually make a one off TV show or something of "One For The Money" with Tyler Christopher from General Hospital as Morelli, but I still think he's too soft.

Word is they are making a movie of one of Evanovich's movies but not sure which one. She has previously said they if they did do a movie about Stephanie Plum she wanted Sandra Bullock to play her. What do you think about that?? It should definitely be someone sexy but not overly girly. Reese Witherspoon was also rumoured, but I disagree with that. Perhaps someone like Jennifer Garner?

And what about like, Lula, Tank, etc??

I'd love to see Queen Latifa as Lula, I think she'd be great. Tank I always imagine as Mike Tyson, I dunno why cause that's so stupid. I think Ving Rhames would be good.

I think Monique would play a good Lulu she has more attitude to me, and I agree with Ving Rhames for Tank a perfect match!:)

What about Mark Wahlburg as Morelli? He does have that alpha male vibe.

Sandra Bullock would make a great Stephanie but if you go to Janet Evanovich's website rumor is that Ann Hathaway might be playing her, but she is way to young for the role, she just doesn't come off as thirty something.

Yeah I heard about Ann Hathaway, but I don't think she'd suit the role at all. I like AH but she doesn't have the right.. attitude? I'd maybe go for someone like... brown haired Kate Hudson? I don't know.. I think it would be more important to get the character of Stephanie right more so than the looks. I wouldn't care if she had different kinda hair or whatever, as long as they got her personality right. Jessica Biel? Too young?

Mark Wahlburg seems too short and/or not a big enough frame. I heard someone else suggest that Mario Lopez - the one from Saved By The Bell? He's all ripped now, and has the italian/hispanic/whatever thing going on.

Lol it's terrible that the 3 most important characters are the hardest to cast, and the rest there are tons of great people you could get!

It will be a tough casting call!:)

The only problem with Mario Lopez is that he is too cute and no offense to him but not that good of an actor, he has a great stage presence but for anyone who plays Morelli they will have to be able to portray emotion convincingly.

Well Mark Wahlburg may be short but most Italians are. I am so glad I am not going to be making these decisions!:) Who ever is but not screw up especially with fans like us! My sister is the one who got me hooked on this series and she really wants Sandra Bullock I can see her as Steph what do you think of Amanda Peet? It just came to mind that she might be a steph,
