Topic: Is it time yet?!


	hgoggans Feb 10, 2008	From seeing all the great looks ya'll have been posting and all the hot items in the magazines I can't wait to start actually wearing some of it, but unfortunately it seems a little early. In your opinion, when is it time to break out the spring clothes? Is it a weather thing, or do you wait until, say, Easter Sunday to debute your new duds? What do you think?
	Caiti Feb 11, 2008	Here's my take. Start working in your favorite Spring items after Valentine's Day, like a short sleeved tee in a Spring color under your chunky, Winter-weight cardigan. Switch from boots to ballet flats if it's a particulary lovely day. As the weather warms, strip off the layers, shorten the lines, and show a little more pop and skin!
	hgoggans Feb 11, 2008	I totally get what you're saying, Caiti, that's a great way of thinking about it, kinda fade the spring stuff in while the winter stuff fades out. What do you think about sandals and flip flops though? I live where it's warmish most of the time (today upper 60s, not uncommon to be warmer) and I see people wearing flip flops year round because it's warm enough to I guess. Do you think that's right? It kinda bothers me! They're missing out on all of the lovely closed toe varieties of shoes:)
	Caiti Feb 11, 2008	Wearing flip flops year round shows a lack of imagination, in my opinion. Of course, I'm about to move to an island in the Carribean where flip flops are helpful in the sand environment. But even I'm taking sneakers, ballet flats, and some strappy sandals. If I can fit all that into three bags and a backpack!

	Barbiedoll Feb 18, 2008	I think it's okay to start mixing in some bright colors now...but I agree..it's too early to break it all out!
