With a gold plated base, the brooch sparkles with prong-set round, marquis and round-cut pale blue and green Swarovski crystals. The distinctive design fastens with a safety catch pin that is signed Regency A family-owned company from the fifties through the seventies, Regency produced costume jewellery of breathtaking beauty. Regency backed its high-quality diamante with "Japanned" metal. Named for the origins of the enamel art it emulated, the process darkens metal with layers of lacquer, setting off the brilliant colours of the crystals set within.
