Nike's Flyknit was inspired by feedback by runners who required a shoe with the fit of a sock. Embarking on a four-year mission, Nike worked to create the technology needed to make a knit upper with static properties for structure and durability. The result was an impossibly light, yet incredibly strong running shoe. The Flyknit construction provides essential breathability and features lightweight zones of support, with stretch Flywire cables wrapping round the medical arch. These lightweight cables work with the Dynamic Fit system and are customisable through the laces. Made entirely of polyester yarn, it's a one-piece layer with an integrated knit tongue for enhanced comfort.
