Edward Green has been using the same traditional techniques to handcraft its footwear since the company was founded in Northampton, England, in 1890. The textured, pebble-grain leather used for these Derbies has been specially developed with an Italian tannery and hand-painted to a deep rosewood-brown patina. The reassuringly weighty Ridgeway rubber sole provides hard-wearing traction. Shown here with a Paul Smith London sweater, Burberry London jacket, Alfred Dunhill trousers and a Polo Ralph Lauren bag.Read The Journal story on Derbies
