The BeSafe iZi Combi is a brand new 'combination' seat that lets your child sit facing rearwards until 4 years of age, then allows them to sit forward facing when the time is right. Rearwards seating is recommended as a safe sitting position for children as it reduces strain on the back and neck in the event of an accident. Group 1, 9-18kg in the forward facing position and groups 0+ and 1, 0-18kg, in the rearward facing position. BeSafe recommend that children remain sitting in the rearward facing position for maximum safety, up to 18kg. BeSafe recommend this seat is used for children who can sit upright, making it suitable from 6 months. For children under 1 year, or 10 kg, the most reclined seating position should be used, with the body hugger and seat cushion. In the rearward position, the seat secures to car's Isofix points with colour indicators to show correct installation of the car seat. In the forward facing position the car's seat belt is used to secure the car seat and featuresadvanced belt routing, making it very easy to install correctly and securely.
