Husband and wife design team Lorraine and Ashwin Johnson launched Pyrus in 2005 in London. Heralded for their use of embroidery, embellishment and traditional needlework techniques, the Johnsons glean ideas from bazaars and thrift markets around the globe to create their simple, old world-inspired pieces.
