TOY STORY: was the first feature-length film animated entirely by computer, and is as chock-full of heart and warmth as any Disney cartoon feature. Young Andy's playthings, including the sardonic Mr. Potatohead, a Slinky Dog with a southern drawl, an anxiety-ridden dinosaur, and some very gung-ho toy soldiers, are led by Woody, a pull-string cowboy doll whom Andy adores. But on his birthday, Andy receives a self-possessed, gadget-laden spaceman action figure named Buzz Lightyear, who quickly becomes Andy's favourite. Soon the overlooked Woody becomes very jealous. However, when a turn of events leaves Buzz and Woody lost in the 'outside world,' they have to get along in order to find their way home. TOY STORY 2: Andy heads off to summer camp, leaving the toys behind to fend for themselves. In much the same way Buzz discovered he is a mass-produced product in the first instalment, Woody discovers that he is a valuable collectible spawned by a popular 1950s kiddie-puppet TV show, 'Woody's Roundup Gang' when he is kidnapped by an evil toy collector, Al McWhiggin. Through Al, who plans to sell him to a Japanese toy museum, Woody is reunited with the toy versions of his TV cohorts plucky cowgirl Jessie (Cusack), prospector Stinky Pete (Grammer), and trusty horse Bullseye. Woody must choose between seeing Andy grow up and forsake him and living a sterile but eternal life behind glass being admired but not played with. Released to universal acclaim, TOY STORY 3: with a heart-warming story, hilarious script, and stunning CGI animation --this time with the added optional bonus of Disney Digital 3-D. The movie begins with Andy leaving for college and accidentally donating his beloved toys -- including Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the Potato-Head family-- to a daycare. While the crew meets new friends, including Ken (Michael Keaton) and plush patriarch Lotso (Ned Beatty), they soon grow to hate their new surroundings and plan an escape. Contains 4 discs. Cert PG.

Based on William Joyce's beautifully illustrated children's book A Day With Wilbur Robinson, this lively computer-animated Disney film follows the adventures of Lewis (voiced by Jordan Fry and Daniel Hansen), a young orphaned inventor who is determined to find his birth mother by using a "memory scanner", a device of his own creation. When Lewis meets a boy from the year 2037 named Wilbur Robinson (Wesley Singerman), they begin a charmingly strange time-travelling journey that involves Wilburs eccentric family, bowler hats bent on world domination, song-and-dance frogs, and a frustrated Tyrannosaurus Rex. Boasting the debut of cutting-edge 3D technology, Meet The Robinsons is helmed by first-time feature-film director Stephen J. Anderson, who also voices numerous characters, including the moustachioed villain, Bowler Hat Guy. (Other notable vocal actors include Angela Bassett, Tom Selleck, Adam West, Harland Williams, and Laurie Metcalf.) Meet The Robinsons also marks Pixar head John Lasseter's first outing as an executive producer on a non-Pixar movie, resulting in a film that features some of that company's signature energy and wit, but stands on its own outside of that universe. While Meet The Robinsons' literally all-over-the-place plot can be a little difficult to follow at times, its stunning retro-futuristic visuals and amiably wacky characters easily keep viewers entertained. With a fine cast and fun in-jokes, Disney's Enchanted is sure to cast a spell over both children and adults. It begins with a 2-D animation sequence reminiscent of the company's beloved past. Surrounded by dozens of cute animals, Giselle (voiced and later played by Amy Adams) sings about her desire to find her one true love. Meanwhile, a handsome prince (James Marsden) overhears her, and they meet and fall in love. In many Disney movies, this is where the story ends, but Enchanted is just starting out on its journey. The princes wicked stepmother (Susan Sarandon) cant stand to lose her throne, so she pushes Giselle down a well, and the beauty ends up in the real world. Gone is the animated fantasy, and a live-action Giselle lands in the middle of Times Square in New York City. Her optimism and perkiness put her at odds with the New Yorkers she encounters, but she gets help from a cynical divorce lawyer (Patrick Dempsey) as she waits for her prince to rescue her. Fans of Disney classics from Sleeping Beauty to Beauty And The Beast will be glad to see their favourite films referenced in Enchanted. Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid) makes a brief appearance, and the evil queen threatens to kill Giselle with a poisoned apple a la Snow White. Though it reminds the audience of past favourites, Enchanted boasts its own script that is at once intelligent and heartwarming. But the true highlight of the film is the acting by the fairy tale couple. Marsden (Hairspray) couldn't be funnier as the charming prince, while Adams (an Oscar nominee for 2005s Junebug) gives dimension to the heroine. As a result, Enchanted is a film that deserves to sit on a shelf with Disneys classics. Contains 1 disc. Cert PG.
