I just love it all, from Schiaparelli and Charles James to Paul Smith and Vivienne Westwood via Yves St Laurent; from Renee Breton to Agyness Deyne; Cecil Beaton, Sieff and Avedon to Helmut Newton and David Bailey, Ferragamo to Louboutin...

Some of my favourite things: my ever growing vintage collection, (and especially finding good vintage in charity shops!), cashmere cardigans, blunt cut bobs, strict tailoring, leather gloves, Fred Astaire, asymmetry, cocktail rings, The Sartorialist, vintage Lucite handbags, English eccentricity, modern art, Klimt colours, amber jewellery, silk scarves, Japanese style, Lee Miller, books and libraries, old b&w movies, Erte, William Morris, androgeny, 20's and 30's glamour, ballet pumps, modern architecture, Rene Gruau, red lipstick and grown up perfume, crisp white shirts, Otis Redding, art deco, Cole Porter, tango shoes, the Jazz Age, Josephine Baker, Hollywood glamour and glitz, minimalism...

(My job, trees, and my family - obviously!)

Holy Moley!

Our Marky has certainly caused a stir on Planet Fashion!! His crime?

He has used a mixture of gorgeous girls to show off his fantastic sexy knitwear, from conventional "model" size, up to UK size 12 and 14... Quelle horreur!!

Well, I think she looks gorgeous.

And, yes, so do all the other girls - they represent us all, from bone thin to womanly and voluptuous. We are all different and should be proud!

Bravo Mr Fast!

Hmmm. What would I wear if I worked for Vogue??

I know this film features USA Vogue, but I'll go for French Vogue, partly because Anna Wintour is a very scary lady... But also because I DO admire Carine Roitfeld's style.

She is not only in her 50's and therefore an inspiration for all us girls who are no longer spring chickens but don't believe that elasticated waists and sensible shoes are an inevitability (thank heavens!!), but she's also incredibly chic and edgy with it - so I'll borrow her style.

Black it is then, no handbag and the men's version of Opium (which I couldn't find, so the usual version will do!!)

Love these!

I've matched the cut-out pattern to the pleating on the bag, and paired them with a casual layered look for daytime...

Being as mad as I am about fashion history, I'm a big fan of the Twig.

I love her iconic early photos (shot to stardom at 16!), with the cool haircut, mod style clothes and fabulous lashes.

But I also admire her later pictures where her love for the 20s and 30s, and all things Biba and Erte shine through in her style.

This is one of my favourite photos, and I've tried to portray the decadent 30s feel in my Supermodels look this week...

Great choice Jouel!!

London Fashion week is nearly here! Hurrah!

I am yet again breathless with excitement, clutching my notebook ready to scribble notes. I'm particularly looking forward to the Jonathan Saunders show; sophistication, bold colours, strong silhouettes...

Wearing my vintage Dior sunglasses and Alexander McQueen ankle boots (from Matches) of course!
